Zesty Paws Products

I have several items from Zesty Paws that I will be doing reviews on so I apologize in advance for this long post.  They are in no particular order. I did receive each product for free in exchange for my review, however that is not going to change my review at all, my review is still 100% honest, and I use these products with my dogs regularly!

First up
Hip & Joint Mobility Bites With OPT MSM

* Contains No grain, corn, artificial flavoring, or preservatives
* Formulated for advanced hip & joint support, with glucosamine to help reduce & prevent aches, pains, soreness, inflammation, and arthritis problems
* Promotes heart health and immune support

* Tastes like duck

I got this one mainly for the older dog I've taken in, when I got her in October 2017 she'd been ill for a while had a very bad skin infection, that caused her to do nothing but lay around and scratch herself all day, she lost a lot of weight, wouldn't move much at all any more, she basically only got up a couple times a day to get something to eat, drink, and go out to potty, she stopped playing, she stopped wanting to go for car rides and walks , which are two of her all time favorite doggy activities to do. She was pretty much withering away to nothing, her former owners' friends and family members kept telling her to put the dog down, when she took the dog to a vet to see why she was losing her fur, itching so much, and had such dried out skin she looked like she had layers upon layers of scales on her, even the vet told her to put her down, But her owner and I both knew this was not the answer! She could be saved she was only 8 at that time. Her previous owner had another 8 year old dog who was perfectly fine, loved to play and run, and do all the things Cali had loved to do before this skin infection came on, Her owner did not know for a long time that it was a skin infection, the vet she took her to, looked at Cali and said " Non contagious Mange, Give her these meds" , the meds did nothing, some of the home remedies I sent to her helped, but not for long periods.

When I got "Custody" of Cali in October, she came into my house, climbed into one of my recliners and that is where she pretty much stayed for 3 days, I got her on a Friday evening when the vet was already closed, I could barely get her to get up to go out to the bathroom or eat or anything, which is not normal, I have doggy sat this dog many times over the years and this was not her normal behavior when arriving at my house. I knew I was getting Cali before I got her, so when I saw these bites on tomoson  I put in for them, and was chosen as one of the influencers to receive them to test and review. She started these before she saw my vet, about 2 days prior to going to the vet if I recall. So they were in her system before the medication was. I took her to my vet, and as soon as we walked into the exam room the first words out of his mouth without even examining her was "This dog needs put down, she is in misery" My response to him was " No, that is not an option, exam her and find the problem".   The medication the vet gave her after a few skin scrapings and viewing of said scrapings, was only for the skin infection she had, and nothing else.

The Medication took about a week and half to really start working on helping her not itch any more, however I noticed these bites started working within the first 3 days, when she would get up she wasn't moving as slowly as she was before, and it didn't look like going up and down the porch steps hurt her nearly as bad, both of my porches have steps and she is way to big for me to carry so she had to do it on her own, but I had her take her time and go slow so she wouldn't hurt herself. By day 5 of taking the bites she was managing the steps very well. and as the days went on she was moving around better and better each day. Eventually the medication for the infection kicked in and she finally stopped itching, which I know was the highlight of her year, she no longer itched, scratched, or had open sores from scratching, she also didn't have as much dried out skin, her fur was growing back in, she was gaining weight, she was looking like a healthy dog again!

Here it is February 2018 , 4 months later no one believes it's the same dog! has all of her fur back except for 2 little spots on her tail that is being slow - there are thin hairs there just not fully grown in, but hey she no longer has a rats tail! (her tail was actually completely bald and pink like a rat) She runs, she plays with my 2 year old dog, she acts like a puppy again! she gets up and down the steps with out any problems, she hears "Car ride" and she's jumping out of the chair or off the bed or where ever she is and galloping to the door - she doesn't really run like a normal dog she never has she always has reminded me of a horse when she "runs" , and stands at the door impatiently I may add, waiting on us to open it, and off to the van she goes, she just can't wait to go on that car ride! she is awake and up moving around more now than she has in probably 2 to 2 1/2 years.

I took her back to my vet in January for a check up after the 100 and some odd pills he gave me for her skin infection was finally gone, He looked at me, looked at her , looked back at me with a very shocked look on his face and said " this is not the same dog I saw in October?" I said yes it is the exact same dog that you sir were wanting to put down without even giving her a chance. He just kept saying it can't be the same dog, there is no way, that dog was on deaths door.  And as I stated in October Death was not an option for this dog! Needless to say he was surprised and asked what I did so I told him! About giving her these bites, and using Salmon oil on her food daily - which the oil is what made her fur grow fully back in, because after about 3 weeks of being on the meds her fur came to a stand still and wasn't growing any more.
Miss Cali turned 9 years old on February 6, 2018! and she acts like a puppy! instead of a 50 year old dog like she did when I got her! We owe that to The Zesty Paws Hip & Joint Mobility Bites! That she still takes every day, loves them today just as much as she did on day 1 and if I'm late getting them to her she will knock the container down to remind me that I forgot! Yes my animals own me :)

I can not guarantee the same outcome of course for your dog, because every single dog is different  But your pet is worth a shot if she/he has any mobility problems, or if you'd like to prevent them, I also give them to my 2 year old dog to prevent any issues.
Just a side note on the breeds I own, Cali is 1/2 Red Nose Pit Bull and 1/2 Black Lab she is a large dog and weighs between 60 to 70 pounds, My Dog Bubby is just a Pit Bull who weighs about 50 pounds.

if you'd like to order your own and try them out on your dog(s) you can do so by following this link (this is NOT an affiliated link - I get nothing out of you clicking or buying from them) https://www.chewy.com/zesty-paws-mobility-bites-hip-joint/dp/133664

Number 2 on the list is
5 - IN- 1 Multivitamin Bites
* Helps skin and coat
* Helps hip and joint
* Helps with Digestion
* Helps the Immune system
* Helps the Heart

* Contains NO corn, wheat, soy, artificial flavoring, or preservatives

I have been giving these to my 2 year Pit Bubby for a while now, It has helped him a lot with itching from foods that at the time had products in it he was allergic to that I didn't know he was allergic to. I also noticed he wasn't itching as much come spring when pollen was high. I can't guarantee the same outcome for your dog as all dogs are different, but if you'd like to give them a try and see if it helps your dog out, they can be purchased by clicking this link (This is not an affiliated link, I get nothing for you clicking or buying from it) https://www.chewy.com/zesty-paws-5-in-1-multivitamin-bites/dp/159496

Number 3 on the list is
Wild Caught Raw Freeze Dried Salmon Treats For Dogs & Cats
* Skin & coat support
* For Dogs & Cats
* Made from 100% Real Salmon
* Helps promote joint pain relief and restore flexibility in older pets
* Overall Immune support
* NO grains, corn, soy, artificial flavoring, or preservatives
* Smells like Salmon

These treats are hard to hide in my house as I not only have dogs, but I have cats, cats who love fish! both the cats and dogs love these treats, the dogs eat them whole, the cats I have to break them up and sprinkle them on a table or the floor then they'll eat them. They have helped my older dog Cali (From above) with her layers upon layers of dried out skin that looked like scales. They contain Omega 3 And DHA Fatty Acids. They love to get these treats, even though I'm not fond of the smell as I don't like Salmon, but it's for my "kids" so I deal with it :) Again I'm not able to guarantee you're dogs or cats will like them, or that they will help your pets like they have mine since each animal is different. But your pets are worth giving them a try. If you'd like to purchase them or even just read more about them you can do so by using the following link - again this is not an affiliated link, I get nothing for you clicking or buying from it. https://www.chewy.com/zesty-paws-raw-freeze-dried-salmon/dp/163910

Welcome to part 2 of my reviews on Zesty Paws Products; if you read part 1 I hope you enjoyed it and got some useful information out of it. I'll just jump right into the final few products I have to review.

Number 4 on the list is
Allergy Immune Bites with EpiCore
* Digestion and Immune Health to promote a healthy response to food, along with seasonal,skin & environmental allergies
* has probiotics, antioxidants, & nutrients that are clinically  proven to strengthen immunity and support healthy digestion
* High in omega-3 fatty acids from wild Alaskan salmon oil to support a healthy skin and coat, hips, joints and heart
* Contains NO Corn, Wheat, Soy, artificial flavoring, or preservatives

I have also been giving these bites to my 2 year old dog, Bubby for a while now, in conjunction with the 5 -IN- 1 Multivitamin and the Salmon treats to help his allergies, as he does have food allergies I have also given them to him without the others, and I know with him they help him a lot his main allergy is food related, but when the pollen is high that also irritates his skin and makes him itch pretty badly, and when he's taking these bites he doesn't itch much if at all. If your dog suffers from allergies and you'd like to give these a try to see if they'll help out, you can do so by clicking the following link (It is not affiliated, I get nothing for you clicking or buying from it) https://www.chewy.com/zesty-paws-allergy-immune-bites/dp/159498

----------------------------------------
Number 5 on the list is
100% Certified Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Superfood supplement is derived from 100% certified organic coconuts to provide your precious pup with all-natural nourishment.
  • Clean source of vitamins and medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) fatty acids promotes healthy skin and coat; also works as an effective digestive aid and immune booster.
  • Can be used topically to help moisturize her skin, revitalize a dull, brittle coat, and soothe hot spots or chafing.
  • Recommended as a daily dietary supplement for dogs of all ages and sizes.
  • Made in the USA without the use of corn, wheat, artificial flavoring or preservatives.
I have been using Coconut Oil on my 2 year dog , Bubby since he was a puppy, I feed it to him, he'll eat it right off a spoon and knows what the jar looks like, I add some into the water before I give him a bath, and after his bath, and he's dried off I put some in the palm of my hands and rub it together to melt it and rub it all over him like a lotion. He has the shiniest coat I've ever seen on a dog! After I got Cali I've been doing it to her the same way and her coat is also very shiny and they're both always so soft now . Most people think it's only healthy for us humans, but nope it's great for the dogs too it is really a superfood .
however not all dogs like it, and it will take some time to get them to take it, some people put it on the food, or mix it in with a can of dog food, when I first started giving it to Cali she did not want anything to do with it, until about the third time she saw Bubby scarf it down, that peeked her interest in it and she took a little bit, after a few days she was lapping it off the spoon just as fast as he does.
If you'd like to purchase your own and try it out on your pets, you can follow the link (again not an affiliation link, I get nothing for you clicking it or buying from it)

Last but not least is Number 6 on our list

Triple Strength Sustainable Wild Caught Omega 3 Fish Oil Plus wild Antarctic Krill Oil

  • Nourishes Skin & Coat
  • Promotes Healthy Hip & Joint Function
  • Encourages Brain, Liver, & Heart health
  • Can be used with both Dogs & Cats
  • Contains no artificial flavorings, colors or preservatives.
My dogs and cats love this oil , It helps keep their fur soft, shiny and silky, My dogs and 2 cats are short hair, 1 cat has medium length hair. they all shed but since they've been using this it seems they're not shedding as much as they once did. I can't guarantee your pets will like it or it'll have the same effects on them, since all animals are different. But if you'd like to give it a try follow the link (not an affiliated link, I get nothing if you click or buy from it)

The bottom line; All of my pets have been helped by one or more of these products, they are all easy for them to chew, the bites are all soft and even the older dog Cali has no problems eating them. The dogs know where I keep all of these containers and when I forget to give them the bites/treats they will knock the containers down to get my attention, The Fish Oil I've always put on their food and I feed them 3 times a day (I spread out the amount of food they're to have for their size into 3 meals) I had to start spreading out the amount of Fish oil the same way, because they wanted it on every meal! Their size they get 3 squirts, so I put 1 squirt on their food for Breakfast, 1 for lunch and 1 for dinner otherwise they'll stand there staring at me all sad looking with puppy dog eyes and all wanting to know where it is, and they've been known to walk away from their food more than once if the oil was not put on to it! - I don't think that is a sign that they LOVE the fish oil or anything. Do you?

Thanks for reading and I hope these reviews have helped you along your path of looking for some supplements to give to your pet rather the pet is ailing or as a preventative.

P.S I almost forgot to mention one of the main things I love about all of these bites/treats is that they are all at least corn free, if not both corn and grain free,  Both of my dogs only eat at the very least a food with no Corn, Wheat, or Soy. I  also feed them Grain Free , My 2 Year dog Bubby is allergic to  something in a lot of the dog foods that have red kibble in it, even if they state they're grain free, he's broken out horribly from one brand, itched so badly he tore his skin all up, other brands have given him Hives. so I try to stay away from food that has red pieces in it all together. But if they don't show the actual dry kibble pieces on the bag , that is a little hard to do. But thankfully with these products I am able to keep the hives, or full fledged allergic  reaction to a minimum.
