I ordered a Winter Theme Wall Tapestry from Dresslily.com I am very happy with it, I bought it for 2 uses, First is to use as a backdrop for our Christmas Pictures , the second use after pictures is to hang in the doorway of my living room, to help block out the cold air.
They have so many to choose from, different sizes, and the prices are reasonable. I was expecting a thicker material since they're called Tapestry, and they're rather thin, but they're still made well, and will work for the reason I bought them.
When I bought my Winter Theme one, I also bought a under the sea theme one for my boyfriends youngest grandson for his birthday, I've not gotten it yet, but I know I'll be just as happy with it as I am with my Winter Theme Tapestry.
I've already got it hung on the wall in the room that I will be using for Christmas Pictures, and took a few of my son, his friend , and even our dogs yesterday so I could make sure it would work well where I had it. I've also already ordered one for Valentines Day. For the Valentines Day one I got the largest they sell, so I can either hang it from the ceiling, or if by chance the weather is still nice (I live in Indiana so it should be cold, but here we are almost the end of December and it's been in the mid 50's! ) I can hang it on the clothes line outside and use it as a backdrop for my pictures of the kids that way as well.
This is what it looks like just hanging on my wall, without anyone near it

This is a couple I took last night with the kids and the dogs in front of it, using it as a backdrop for our pictures It was a lot easier getting the dogs to cooperate than it was the teenagers :)

I'm just tacking this to my wall with flat thumbtacks. Dresslily sells more than just Tapestries though, they sell so much different stuff, from clothes, to wall and floor stickers, home decor and so much more.
I loved my first Tapestry so much, I had to get a second one! This one I got is for Valentine's Day. And as my 1st one I'm using it as a Backdrop for Photography. I just now have to wait until my boyfriends daughters schedules a line so they can get the kids over here so I can have a Photo shoot with the lil' ones :) - I'm not sure who loves this part more them or me :D.
I forgot to look at the tag before I had it hung up, but I think it is made of the same material as the 1st which is a polyester material, however this one does feel a little bit thicker. I bought a bigger size this time around so that could be why it feels thicker. But I am in love with the image, the picture does not do this product any justice online (on their website) or my own picture! It is so pretty in person and the hearts look 3-D Makes my brain think I can just go up and grab them off my wall and they'd be a pillow or something some one tacked to my wall. I think it will make some great pictures, which I will then in turn make into Valentine Cards and or Valentine Post Cards I have not yet decided which version I want to make yet. The prices are rather inexpensive, the quality is great, I've not washed either one yet, but just by feeling it, I am sure it'll hold up well being washed. I don't plan on putting them in the dryer Just hanging to dry.
Dresslily doesn't sell just wall tapestries they sell a lot of different types of products, including clothes, home decor, wall stickers, floor stickers, and much more.
I do have this picture cropped some so it fit the blog better and the details show better.

Did your tapestries arrive in a timely fashion?
ReplyDeleteYes, but knowing they come from China I made sure to order them ahead of time I only had issues with one order that I had ordered and sent to a friend, it took about a week to 2 weeks longer than they said it would.
ReplyDeleteHow long did shipping take after you ordered them?
ReplyDeleteI ordered the 1st one (Christmas Theme) on December 7th, I am thinking I got it in about 2 weeks, I know I had it by December 21st as that is when I took the above pictures. Just keep in mind these are from China, and it can take longer to get a package than ordering from a U.S. Based company. I'm planning on ordering clothes through their sister site (Rosegal) for Christmas Gifts , if I do I'll be placing my order the 1st of November so I should have more than enough time to have it before Christmas.
DeleteI found your this post while searching for information about blog-related research ... It's a good post .. keep posting and updating information. neutral tapestry
ReplyDeleteHi were you charged extra shipping fees when arrived in UK?
ReplyDeleteI'm in the United States.
DeleteHow do you get the wrinkles out?
ReplyDeleteThere is a few ways you can do that, one is just to hang it and let them "fall" out on their own, Which I've done and it takes a few days but does work for the most part. They are also washable and able to be put into the dryer on low heat. Or lightly use a steam iron, if you use a normal iron iron the back not the picture side, I'd personally keep a towel between the iron and the cloth and do it on low heat But I typically just mist lightly with some water and put it in my dryer on the Wrinkle out setting for a few minutes
