Back in June I got a 2 year old Beagle, she'd lived outside her entire life, What I did not before picking her up though, and only found out on my home with her, is she was actually set to be put down by the breeder if I didn't take her, She was not doing what a Beagle should be doing (hunting, trails etc) and I guess according to the breeder "She was the dumbest dog he'd ever seen".
So I do consider her my rescue dog for that fact! She came to me extremely scared, she has high anxiety, her anxiety is so bad that for a while I thought she was going to put holes in my carpet from pacing around in circles day in and day out, if she was awake she was pacing! She had to be next to me at all times when she was not pacing, She wouldn't go to any one else. - All of that I can handle, and we can work on those issues easily. However, What I was not able to handle, and I'm still trying to work on and fix the issues is house training , or rather lack there of! She just can not seem to grasp she is to potty outside and only outside, When she does potty outside, I pretty much throw her a party! And she gets overly excited when I do that, So she understand she's done something good. But doesn't matter we come back in and within 5 minutes I'll find a mess on the floor rather it's #1 or #2, Even if she spends all day out in their kennel she'll still go on my floor.
I have cleaned my carpets time and time again with everything under the sun! From store bought chemicals that swore they worked, to home remedies that were guaranteed to rid the problem.
But there I sat staring at pee stains after spending hours scrubbing my carpet
This is just a small area of my carpets, This is the "Hall" into my bedroom. ALL of these stains are from Stormie The Rescue Beagle. I had scrubbed this carpet probably 7 times from June to September! I was at my wits end.
This is one room you see as you go through my house, plus my house stunk! no matter what I did,
Plus really who wants to look at this day in and day out! I have lived here almost 11 years so my carpets are old, but are cleaned several times a year, Because I do have other animals besides Stormie. I've had puppies through out the years, kittens, all of which are now adults , My Boy Bubby is 5 years old, and he will occasionally have an accident on the floor, but that's rare and it's only when he can't hold it any more, like if I was gone longer than normal. And sometimes in the middle of the night he won't wake me up he'll just go to the front door and do his business , but at least that is on tile! Sometimes he does get it on the carpet though . And when he was a pup he was a bit hard to to train but once he hit about 6 months old he finally got it. But no matter what I used to clean the carpets with, they would be clean while damp, and no stains, (Which I clean up as soon as I find them , usually within minutes of the accident happening), but as soon as the carpets are dry they're covered in stains again and it looked like I never scrubbed my carpets at all. This was getting beyond irritating and was really frustrating me.
This is another area of my bedroom, The main bedroom was not as bad as the hall, she seems to love that hall area.
But one day while on Facebook a Sponsored Post had came up on my screen about a "Miracle" Cleaner Just spray it and leave it alone, and the pet accident stain is gone , along with the smell! I was reading through comments , and any one that was a review was pretty much a 5 star, I was reading through them off and on for a few days, Some posters said the smell gets worse before it goes away, Which I would expect from a cleaner that works. One poster said That after using this product her house has stunk horrible for like 4 days and she wasn't happy. And many said the product itself does not have scent. Which Is what I was looking for, I have a parrot and am not able to use scented cleaners around her.
After about three days of reading over what people were posting on the MyPetPeed Facebook page. I decided I was going to contact the company, and see if they would like to work with me. They said yes! (Well of course they did or I wouldn't be writing this review haha)
I got the product in the mail a few days later, and went to town on the "Hall" part of my room as soon as I got the box open.
The unboxing was simple - it was nicely packaged
Yes I opened it before I took the picture, I was really excited when it got here!
Very nicely packaged, the box contained 1 gallon bottle and a 32 oz spray bottle that was also filled with the product.
Also came with nicely written out directions, that were a breeze to follow.
Day 1
I applied MyPetPeed on every spot on the "hall" of my bedroom I misted and misted until I was sure it was wet through the carpet and into the padding, as per the instructions. You can see it starting to work with the white ''foam" building up.
Day 2
This was on day two before applying any product, I already knew I would need to do it multiple times this is the hall area still. but it already started to look better.
Day 1 for the area in my bedroom after I applied MyPetPeed.
I could only see one major spot that stuck out on this area so that is the only one I sprayed.
Day 2 of application on the "Hall" area of my floor
You can see it is really starting to work look at all that foam!Foam is good by the way You want foam, lots and lots of foam
Day 3 of application in the "Hall" part of my bedroom It is looking so much better already!
The smell is tolerable The more I clean the area the more the smell comes out, however, that is what it is supposed to be doing. If the smell is being extracted then the stains are as well.
The directions does state to use the spray bottle and mist the stains/areas until the carpet is wet down to the padding, It said not to pour the product directly on to the area. And even though it gives directions how to use the product in a rug scrubber, it doesn't not suggest it, as you do not mix with water it needs to be full strength , and it needs to sit on the spots/areas for 12 to 24 hours. So using a rug scrubber would just end up extracting it right back up before it had time to work.
I will say after day three and I was happy with the results I put some in my rug scrubber just to go over the entire carpet one good time. However, I soon regretted that, since you do not add water you just pour the product into the water holder, all I was doing was extracting foam, lots of foam into my rug scrubber, which ended up making it shut off on its own. I managed to get it working again, but I didn't do that again, after taking it all apart and cleaning all the foam out.
But what I did do, was just end up spraying some of the product all over my floors and let it be until 2 days later, then I just used plain hot tap water in my rug scrubber and cleaned my carpets I did this because as the product was cleaning the stains, I was getting clean spots on my carpet while other areas were looking dirty still, I knew they were not stains any longer they were just clean areas, much cleaner than the rest of the floor. And well that didn't look right.
Day 4 - before I used the rug scrubber, featuring the little "Stinker" who caused all the mess on this area of my floor to start with! Miss Stormie.
But I have nothing but good to say about this product! It truly works, It is truly a miracle! I honestly thought by the time I moved out of this house (I rent in case I forgot to mention that before) I'd be replacing the carpets just so I could get my deposit back! Granted I've been here 10+ years and it is considered normal wear and tear. and they were not new carpets when I moved in! But I just can't stop looking at my "hall" every time I pass my room, no more unsightly, ugly stains! it looks clean now, because it is clean! Yes I still have the stench of dog pee coming up, but I run the rug scrubber over this area 2-3 times a day with just plain hot water, to extract more and more up. It has been several days now and not a single stain has returned!
The "hall" area after I used the rug scrubber
The images below are all after I went over the entire room with just plain hot tap water and my rug scrubber Just so it all looked clean instead of just the areas I used MyPetPeed on.
In conclusion I would love to thank MyPetPeed for working with me. I do highly recommend this product to anyone with any pet stain , or any stain, this even works for human accidents. This product is not cheap, but it truly does work, It's well worth the price!
I am hoping I have enough to do my living room this weekend! Here's just a small section of that disaster!
Thanks for reading :-) And be sure to check out MyPetPeed Facebook Page and their website to order yours today!
