I've been searching off and on for a affordable, light weight, yet sturdy Tripod. I didn't want an expensive one as I won't be using it too much, but there have been so many times that if I had one my pictures would of came out so much better, and I'd wished I'd had one.
During my searching I came across the Amazon Basics 50- Inch Lightweight tripod and it came with a bag to carry it with, for only $12.96. I read all the reviews they were mixed good and bad. But I figured for that price I'd give it a try on my own, and form my own opinion on it. I do not have prime but I still got delivered in 2 days, so the shipping was fast!
It is very lightweight, yet I can tell it's still going to be sturdy and should last me a long time, granted no one throws anything heavy on it, if I've got it laying in the back of the van, or anything of the such. The legs extend out and have nice sturdy plastic clips to lock the legs in place. There is also a small level right under the area where the camera sits so you can make sure it is sitting on a level surface, or the ground is level where you have it sitting. The section the camera sits on also extends up a little bit, It has the quick remove "shoe" that you take off, screw into the bottom of your camera (it has a small silver tab on the underside you lift up and then twist to screw into your camera once it is firmly in place you push the tab down again and it locks it into place, then you place it back into it's spot on the tripod, and latch the locking lever to keep the camera locked in place. It has the handle so you can turn the camera left, to right, up and down, it also has a knob if you loosen it up you can turn your camera side wise if needed.
It's a gold/bronze color , the bag is black and has a strap to put over your shoulder. I am very happy with my purchase. I will be getting a lot of use out this tripod and I imagine it'll be the only one I'll ever need to buy. I am an avid photographer, however I don't take a lot of pictures or videos that I need a tripod for, but every photographer from novice to pro should have a tripod in their arsenal of camera accessories. Because you just never know when you're going to need one.
This tripod is also great to sit on a table and use it to take pictures or videos of people, or products when you don't need the full extension of it, but need to have your camera on something so you can still angle it and not try to do something one handed - for an example you're wanting to video a review of a product, it's hard to do that with the camera in one hand, and the item in the other.
This picture isn't the best, because I took it with my phone, but this is the tripod fully extended with my Canon Rebel EOS SL1 attached to it.

This shows the universal "shoe" on my camera if you do not take it off the tripod and secure it to your camera you won't be able to attach your camera to the tripod.

The level on the side of the tripod , so you know if your surface is level so you'll get the best pictures possible.

This is the tripod in the shortest height and would be perfect for using it for Video Reviews, or sitting on a table or some other sturdy surface to take pictures when you don't need height, but need a bit of help with stability.
