The first time I ordered Combiva II Flea drops for dogs, was about a year ago when I first got Cali, she'd been having a flea issue for a while, didn't help that she was allergic to them, and nothing else her previous owner, or I had used was working, I found this product on E-bay and gave it a shot, within hours of applying it on her she was flea free. I honestly have never seen any flea drop work so fast! I thought it was just a one time deal, and we just got lucky.
Fast forward to 2 months ago, my sons Beagles – who have lived outside their entire lives and never had fleas until then – who are 5 years old, once my son realized they had fleas he brought them in and gave them a bath in some higher end All natural Flea shampoo, this worked fine on his female, but I think it was due to her not being on the actual ground as much as the male, she'd had pups and we were separating the time out in the kennel between her and the male, but she didn't want to be away from the pups for long, even though they were old enough she didn't need to be with them all the time. The male got a bath with the same flea soap, but was still suffering, he would be up until the wee hours of the morning, howling, barking, crying, because he was so uncomfortable, which wasn't great for us or our neighbors, we knew something was wrong with him because none of this behavior was like him, he's the good one, the quiet one, the mellow one! So less than a week after his 1st bath he got a 2nd bath, in between these baths we used the flea spray that came with the shampoo, and we also used DE powder heavily on him, their kennel ground, and in his box and nothing was working. He was scratching so much that he made himself go bald in many areas. So, my son, had me order Combiva II since it worked so well and so fast on Cali. We got it on Thursday night, it was after dark, so he waited until Friday morning to go out and put it on them, he put it on his female too just to be on the safe side, even though she no longer showed any signs of having fleas, including no actual fleas. He put it on them right before he left for work, it was around 8 am. He got home at 1 pm went out to check on his dogs, and came in to tell me that Toby was flea free! He said when he'd gone out that morning, Toby had a bunch of fleas crawling all over his face, he had none when he went out that afternoon, had none on his body anywhere. That night – was silent! For the very first time in weeks! I had to let the dogs out of the kennel the next morning, due to my son having to be at work before 8 am. I went to let them out around 9:30 in the morning, and I had to wake Toby up! He was still asleep! And he didn't seem all that thrilled to see me, which was unusual, he wanted to sleep more! Had to make up for all that lost sleep from those pesky fleas keeping him awake all night long.
I'm not one that really recommends chemicals to put on our animals, but when I find something that works, and works so quickly, when all natural products didn't even scratch the surface. I have to share and I do highly recommend this product! I'm not calling this product a miracle worker by any means, but it's worked extremely well and extremely fast on two different breeds of dogs, Cali was a Pit-Lab mix, and Toby is full blooded Beagle. I also can not guarantee it'll work as quickly for you as it has for us. As all dogs are different and react differently to products. But at the price, it's worth a try! For the package, we get that is for dogs 21-55 pounds it cost $15.95 for three tubes – which typically is a three month supply but when you have three dogs it doesn't exactly work that way. :-). They also sell it for cats, however, I've never tried the cat version, as my cats use one from the vet that also repels mosquitoes and apparently it's got heartworm medicine in it for cats, whereas my dogs get a separate heartworm medicine that is not mixed in with the flea medicine.
