I thought I'd take a few minutes and just do an update on a few of my older blog posts. More of a " Do I still use them?, Still loving the product?" type update I may do a few more at another time, but for today's posting I chose 4 random past blog posts.
So let's get to it, shall we?
Since it is 'Tis the Season and all I thought I'd bring back up one of my favorite websites to use during the Holiday shopping season. Hollar
If you've not read the previous post I wrote, You can see it here
I am still extremely happy with the site, I've never had any issues, I have been using the site for a year now, I placed my first order on October 6, 2017.
They have recently changed how they do the shipping, Which I am actually thrilled about, The old way was, when you placed your order you had to have a minimum purchase of $10.00 to check out, shipping was $5.99 (unless it was your very 1st order, then the shipping was free), or in order to get free shipping you had to order $35 or more, I've never been able to get my cart to $35 though However, now you have no minimum order to check out and a flat rate shipping of $3.99, it also looks like now for free shipping minimum you have to purchase is only $25. This to me is awesome, I don't mind paying $3.99 shipping because I do typically order between $5-10 worth of items, of course before I was finding stuff to make $10 just so I could check out, when I all I really wanted or needed was more between $5-7 dollars. But now I don't have to worry if I can't find $10 worth of products I want or need. So that is a huge plus for me.
I have bought a lot of household cleaning products, hair care, Holiday decorations, and kids toys from them (the 2nd link at the top of this post has pictures of some of the items I've bought) I have been extremely happy with every single thing I bought, Even the Christmas Door cover, that did not fit the full length of my door (like it showed on the packing) but that was my own fault, I didn't pay any attention to the sizing in the description, or on the packaging, but it was still adorable on my door nonetheless.
So to sum it up, Yes I still use hollar, and Yes I am still in love with the site :). Have you ever used hollar, if so what have you gotten from them, are you happy with your purchase(s)? If you've never used hollar, do you plan on it with the upcoming Holiday season? not too many other places you can get name brand products for an inexpensive price :)
Also before I forget, Hollar has a refer friends program, so if you use my link above (1st one) and order at that time I get a $2 credit off my next purchase, and you get a $2 credit for creating an account - so it is win-win for all of us 🎉. *Note: I only get my credit if you place an order right after you create your account, so if you use my link, browse, and don't purchase anything right then, but go back a day or two later just by typing the url into the address bar & not using my referral link, I won't get the credit. *

The next Post I want to recap on is the Zesty Paws Products Blog post , I posted Feb. of this year
That particular posting can be found here
We are still a huge fan of every item I posted there. Bubby loves these supplements, he takes them without any issues, they are healthy for him, and do him some good, he is about out of the allergy supplements, they worked so well for him. He barely ever had any itching during the allergy season, and even if I had to buy dog food that usually bothered him, as long as he was taking his allergy supplements he had no major itching. I don't think he has a favorite he gets excited to see any of the containers being taken out of his drawer! Including the dried Salmon, our cats won't touch it, but he'll eat his and theirs without a problem. I still highly recommend the company, and the products.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next up is Lupine Pets - This review was for the Step In Harness and that posting can be found here
I'm still loving them! I mean who can't love a company that has a LIFETIME WARRANTY EVEN IF CHEWED! on their products. and YES their warranty is 100% iron clad! I've had 3 of Bubby's harnesses replaced already, two due to him chewing them (they were on him, I still do not know how he managed to get it in his mouth and chew it, but he did!) the third time was he managed to break one of the D rings in half - on the back of the harness where you'd clip the leash. He was out on his dog run one day and went after a squirrel. I think he forgot he was only able to go so far!, He was at the start of his 6 foot long run, the squirrel was off the side at the very end of it he took off full blast, and got the the end of the run and it jerked him back and that D ring snapped! But if you've been following us here on our blog, you'll know Bubby is not a small dog, but he's not overly large either. He is an American Pit Bull Terrier, he's about 21" inches tall (give or take he won't hold still for me to get a perfect measurement) stout, and weights 54-58 pounds - all muscle. And in his defense, he often forgets just how strong he is, because in his mind he's still just a puppy, a lap dog to be exact! so he just doesn't know his own strength. 🐶
I am still loving the company! I love their great warranty, and ease of getting a replacement (snap a pic fill a form out online, and I've had mine every time within a week) I highly recommend them
Fourth and final recap for today's post - the Bissell Powerfresh Steam mop, This previous review can be read here.
I bought this steam mop back in 2015, by this time I had sworn off Bissell, I've had no luck at all with their vacuum cleaners & rug scrubbers!, But I figured how could they possibly mess up a steam mop, it's a mop you put water into a jug, plug it in, it heats and you do the actual work. I am glad still to this day, I didn't pass this mop up I am still using it. I use it for my deep cleaning once to twice a month, I just use a Swiffer with the wet pads you put on/throw out on my in between cleans. Earlier this year I went to use it, and when I went to take the cap off the water bottle it broke in my hand, and the seal was dry rotted! of course warranty was expired, But I have always made sure to take great care of this machine, even though there is not much to it, When I'm done with it I empty the water bottle out, sit it in the strainer, and I put the cap on the counter, I do not put them back together or back into the mop until they are fully dry, so the cap shouldn't of broke, and the seal shouldn't of been dry rotted. I contacted Bissell, and explained the situation, told them the warranty was expired, but this was of no fault of my own, It shouldn't of broke/dry rotted , at the time they were sold out of a replacement cap/seal , but they let me know as soon as they had more in stock they would send me one free of charge. I didn't have high hopes for this, but much to my surprise a few weeks later one showed up in my mail. However, I still will never own another vacuum or rug scrubber made by Bissell even if some one tried to give me one for free.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That concludes today's blog post

Do You Battle with Tangles? This may be the last product you buy!
I have dealt with tangles my entire life, no matter what product I use, my mom was a beautician and would buy professional "De-Tangler" and even that wasn't helping. I have tried many different De-tangler combs, brushes, sprays, creams, you name it I've probably tried it, and tried it more than once.
One day I was at my local Dollar Tree, browsing the isles, I was in the Hair care isle, I was in need of a new brush anyway, and just looking to see what they carried, I didn't want to go get one at the normal stores I get them at, but I typically can only use a particular kind, other wise it rips out my hair (even with out tangles), and with having a thyroid condition, I have enough hair falling out on its own I really don't need to help that process any. My go to brush has always been the black plastic bristle brushes with the tips (similar to a bobby pin) and when you push down on the bristles a little air "gasps" out - I am unsure if these brushes have a technical term but it's a cushion of sorts. I'm unable to use the older style hard bristle brushes, or anything w/out that cushion or those tips.
As I was browsing, I saw they had some that said "De-tangle Brush" hanging there I looked, and I pondered, I told my boyfriend man that looks like it'll hurt, he grabs on off and pushes on it, it doesn't "Gasp" for air - I'm like uh- yeah that's going to hurt my scalp and rip out my hair it's rough and doesn't look very appealing .. His response was " Try it, it's $1 if you can't use it, give it to one of the kids" (this is how he talks me out of buying stuff LOL)
This is what they look like packaged (I've had mine for about 2 years now so I didn't have the packaging any more)

I do not know if these are sold at other department stores, I know they can be bought online through Dollar Tree's website (by the case) so they maybe sold online by Ebay Re Sellers or Amazon Re sellers but keep in mind at the dollar tree they are only $1.00!!
They came in a couple different colors at my store - I chose Orange
They came in a couple different colors at my store - I chose Orange
Got home, that night I took a shower, I didn't have my normal conditioner (There is 1 type I can use and I can actually brush my hair when it's wet - and that is Aussie 3 minute Miracle Conditioner) without it, my hair is like straw and I rip hair out trying to get the tangles out no matter how easily I run the brush, pick, or wide tooth comb through it!
So I batted down the hatches, I knew this was going to be a disaster, it was going to hurt, it was going to rip out my hair, It was going to be a horrifying experience just to brush my hair!
NONE of that happened! I had not a single issue! It slid through my hair like butter, at the ends where the knots were bad I did have to brush several times, and it does sound like the hair is being ripped out of your head but it really isn't, it's just a rough sounding brush, Doesn't matter if I use it on dry hair or wet hair I have no problems, Which amazed me my entire life I've had to wet my hair or at least my brush before I can start brushing my hair. I grew up with Naturally curly hair, as I've gotten older it's a mix of some wave some straight, I honestly don't know what to call it, But I know after I brush it all out, when it's wet, put my head down, flip my hair so I can run my fingers through all of it, to make sure I got all the tangles when I stand back up, It looks like I just got a Perm! but that only lasts until it starts to try then it turns into " Oh look she stuck her finger in a light socket again" look :-)
I instantly fell in love with this hair brush - I'm not a typical Female, I don't get all into girly stuff, I don't fall in love with hair brushes! Normally anyway :-), I however, loved this brush so much I told my boyfriend I had to go get another one, he said why? I said For your mother! We'd had a conversation a few days before, and she was having issues getting her tangles out, and It was either Mother's Day or her Birthday coming up, I said it's the perfect gift! You know how she is, She tells all of us "Do not by me anything, I don't want nothing, It'll just end up in 'that room' " - That room being a bedroom she shoves all the gifts in people keep buying her when she tells them not to buy her stuff. But I caught on to her rather quickly, Ya see, if you buy her something she will actually use, it won't ever go in "that room". Nothing we've ever bought her has gone into "that room" So We went the next day, got one, I grabbed a small gift bag while we were there and some tissue paper, and I wrapped it up, while he drove to his moms , I handed it to her, she gave me the typical look , I said You'll love it! I just bought one the other day, and fell in love with it, and had to get you one! She opened it and I explained how well it worked, and since her and I had just had the conversation several days prior to how we're battling tangles daily, I knew I had to get her one as well. She loves this brush! it sits on her table next to her recliner, she uses it daily!
So if you battle tangles yourself, with your little one, family or friends - This is the product for you, and it maybe the last one you ever have to try out! It works so well! And really for $1.00 you can't go wrong. Mine is just now starting to break off some of the plastic bristles, but like I said I've had it for like 2 years now if not longer, I use it more than once a day, my boyfriend even uses it and he has very little hair! , when my daughter still lived at home she used to it too! So it's been well loved! and about time to get a new one.
Keep in mind however, All dollar trees are different, and don't all have the same items, or at least not at the same time, so if You can't find it at your closest one, check some others out on your outings, or have a family member or friend look at their local one for you. Or you could buy an entire case on their website, and keep a few back, and gift the rest. I also believe you can exchange the rest in store for other items (Dollar Tree doesn't give refunds, but they do exchanges) Just check with your local dollar tree before doing that , I've never done it, Just read about others who have.

Jett.me - real time YouTube Subscriber counts
![]() |
| Picture is from Jett.me |
Have you ever wondered what your actual You Tube subscriber count was? This is a question a lot of us smaller to medium sized channels wonder, since You Tube can take any where from 24-48 hours to update the subscriber count. Well there is an answer to that lingering question, an the answer can be found at Jett.me
Jett.me is a tool that helps YouTuber's track their subscribers in real time, they also have what is called Shutouts, these are beneficial to help you get more subscribers to YouTube along with all your other social media platforms. And the more subscribers and followers you have, the better you'll do on your endeavor. For an example say you do product reviews like I do, as long as you have a small (Under 1,000) following you're not going to be picked by businesses to get their items to review, they will always choose those with a high subscriber rating on You Tube, and high amounts of followers/readers/subscribers for blogs, and social media platforms.
What is Live Subscription count?, you may be asking this question - simply put it's a tool that will help you keep track of your YouTube subscriber count in real time, with no more waiting for YouTube to update the count. Like I previously mentioned it can take 24-48 hours for YouTube to update subscription count numbers, especially on the small-medium accounts. You are even able to embed the tool into your blog or website, and all your visitors/subscribers/readers will be able to see how many subscribers you have on your YouTube channel in real time.
Are you wondering how you can get more subscribers not only to YouTube, but to all your social media platforms, and even more subscribers/followers on your blog? Here are a couple of ways this can be done, Keep in mind you always want to do it in a natural way, don't fall for the hype of using "bots" and having them do all the work,(that is actually rather deceitful), don't mess up Googles algorithms either.
- Share your YouTube Channel link on all of your social media platforms you use.
- Link your YouTube Channel on your blog and or website
- Comment on YouTube video's you watched, especially of those that you are subscribed to, this will often create a chain reaction of sorts, someone else comes along and has watched the video, and is reading the comments, they check out your channel from the comment you left, see that you have a lot of the same interest they have, so they then subscribe to you.
- Keep an eye out for when other YouTubers get together and have a "Shout-out" type of "party" They typically do this Live on YouTube , and it'll be like any other of their Live videos , but what they are doing is helping out the YouTube community, they will ask viewers who have channels, blogs, etc to post or say " me" or something along those lines, so other viewers will go check you out and subscribe to your channel as well.
- If you have the means and are able to, go to the YouTube events/conferences, in the long run this is the best way to get subscribers, and get your name "out there".
And of course one of the best ways to get subscribers and to keep the ones you already have is to be consistent with your postings. If you started big right out of the gate and posted for an example 5 videos a week then it is best to keep at that pace, however, we all know life takes over, and what one was able to do when they first started a YouTube channel they may not be able to keep this up long term, or at least not every single week, if this has become an issue for you, just be sure to explain in a video (or more than one if needed) or even write it on your community wall as well, that life has been hectic - you really don't need to go into details if you do not want to - and that you know your fans are used to seeing 5 videos a week, but at this time (or a time in the future) you won't be able to do so, and you are sorry, but you'll keep posting as often as you can.
The amount of content you post is not always going to give you higher subscribers, I know I follow one woman who posts only 1-2 times a month, some months she doesn't post at all, she's not consistent always, but she has tons of subscribers, I'm also subscribed to a few who post almost every single day of the week and they have no where near what the lady who posts 1-2 times a month has, They're counts are rather low. Mine also are low, but since I only post product reviews , I can only post when I have something to review.
So if you are wanting to know your real-time subscriber count, and have the means to get a shout-out from jett.com , don't waste time, look into it today, they have limited spaces to book. And the earlier you get in, the better. Go here to look more into it, and get your spot for a Shout-Out Booked soon as possible! https://jett.me (opens in a new window)

Disclaimer: I am posting this review in exchange for a free shout-out on Jett.me , this review is 100% my own, The free shout-out has not in any way, shape or form swayed my review, I did the research on them , I read over their site, I gathered information I wanted to know about, and I based my review off of what I learned during my research. They have not asked me to give them a "5 star" review. They actually told me to do what I normally do , Because I know my followers best. Which I liked! They are about honesty just as we here at Rebel Reviewer are!
EDIT TO ADD: Once I let the company know my reviews were done- they messaged me and let me know my shout out was live on their website! Here's a screen shot from the site
